Finanzierung | Financing The 22. HANSA-Forum, in 2018 at a new location, was once again well attended Snapshot Hansa-Forum For the 22nd time the expert and networking event of the year for shipping took place in Hamburg: The HANSA-Forum »Shipping | Finance«. Around 300 high-ranking international guests came to the Sofitel Hotel and filled out the list of participants to the last seat. Shipowners, managers, brokers, financiers, regulators, insurers, classifiers, bunker service providers, consultants - all sectors were represented. They discussed intensively the upcoming »Sulphur Cap« and what is expected: some challenges but also many opportunities. The panel discussions and lectures were marked by a profound analysis of the situation, but also by fundamental confidence. The participants were also occupied during the breaks and at the evening reception with looking at the consequences of the forced emission reduction from various perspectives of the industry. The participants repeatedly stated that the exchange with experts from other segments is important, perhaps more important than ever in view of the fact that there is now a chance to adapt the processes sustainably. It will therefore be exciting to watch how the shipping and financial players adjust to the ever closer »Sulphur Cap«. This should be discussed again at the next HANSA-Forum in 2019. n Save the date: 21. November 2019 Besides the great networking opportunities, attendees could enjoy Monjasa Group COO Svend Mølholt (above) bringing action onto the stage, as well as vivid discussions on the posdium e.g. between Otto Schacht (Kühne+Nagel), Frank Fischer (Zeamarine) and Jens Christian Nielsen (Frachtcontor Junge) 18 HANSA International Maritime Journal – 155.
