Russian VEB Leasing has already extended financial backing for a newbuilding programme for the tankers that will be operated by Novatek under a 20-year charter or by Shell. International banks are active, too. In May, a consortium of ING Bank, Credit Agricole and KfW IPEX Bank signed a 297 mill. $ recourse credit facility for up to ten years. A few months earlier, these banks signed another credit facility (149 mill. $) for tankers, which will be operated by Total. In December, German DVB Bank was involved in a 264 mill. $ credit facility, together with Citibank, ING, Societe General and UniCredit. To sum up, Sovcomflot collected 900 mill. $ debt capital in 2018 alone.MM NEVA 2019 As the largest event of its kind in the region, NEVA serves as Russia’s premier commercial international maritime B2B event, supported by official decree from the Russian Federation. In 2017, the exhibition celebrated its 27 th Anniversary with more than 20,000 professionals and participants from 37 countries representing international producers of shipbuilding design, ship repair facilities, fishery fleet & equipment provision, marine equipment manufacturing, offshore technology, oil & gas extraction, marine exploration of the Arctic regions & the Northern Sea Route, safety, navigation, hydrography, ports and inland waterways. NEVA 2019 takes place once again at the Expoforum Convention & Exhibition Centre in St. Petersburg. The organizers expect record numbers of visitors and participants. 2019 will welcome the South Korean pavilion’s return and the expansion of lceland’s national pavilion participation. A new programme will be formed in addition to the traditional conference sessions. This year’s industry-focused business programme will take place over 3 days with the participation of recognised Russian and international experts, representatives of key industry players, government structures and professional associations.
